Jeanne Mitcho
fine arts
Jeanne discovered her passion for photography after raising
a family, and long careers in teaching, accounting and auditing. After receiving a digital camera as a
Christmas gift from her husband in 2004, she discovered the magic of
photography as an art form, and dove into the craft with an all consuming zeal. She enjoys the process from capture to post
processing, and has relied on mentoring from friends and fellow members of the
Manassas Warrenton Camera Club to hone her skills. Her love is nature photography, with a
special interest in macro photography and flowers.
Statement
I've always admired artists who manage to envision the
very ordinary in unique ways, and then interpret that vision through oils,
pastels, and other media for others to enjoy. When I discovered that a
camera could be used to capture the uniqueness of a scene...the light, the
texture, the mystery, and that the photo could be processed so that the magic
of the moment could be shared, I was hooked on fine art photography.
