Richard Guy
Richard
specializes in Civil War artwork that includes historical sites at
the Antietam, Manassas, and Richmond National Battlefield Parks. His
works include exhibit paintings for the Department of Interior, a
commission by the Washington Cathedral, a permanent portrait collection
of American inventors for the Patent Office and a portfolio of Williamsburg
prints for IBM. He also has done a series of six paintings of the
United States Capitol which were made into Christmas cards for Congress.
Richard
enjoys variety in his artistic focus and so, in contrast to the Civil
War period, he has also been painting the present landscape of Virginia;
its atmosphere and moods. His
work is hung nationally and internationally in private, corporate
and government collections.
