As a child, Kathy
was always drawing or exploring other avenues of creativity. Her appreciation
for all types of art has grown over the years, culminating in studies
under Patty Rice. Kathy works mostly in pastel and oil. She has participated
in the Spring Gallery Walk 2008 in Old Town Manassas and has won awards
at "Artists of the Future" art shows held at ArtBeat Gallery.
Statement
I find that my inspiration
for art is derived mostly from the simple beauty of nature. To recreate
that beauty on canvas gives me such joy.
