Alice Long
Alice paints a variety of subjects, including people, animals, landscapes and flowers. Her style is usually representational, and emphasizes bright colors, whimsy, and loose, free brushwork. Her paintings have been exhibited throughout the mid-Atlantic region and are included in private and business collections across the United States.
Statement
I am entranced by the natural beauty of light and color
and the intrinsic beauty they bestow on every subject, even the most ordinary.
Light shapes, transforms, and illustrates, while color begs our attention.
